The cost for RLS Year 2011/12 is £1800. This includes all books, study material, orientation, leadership retreats, a graduation dinner and library access. There are some scholarships available for up to 50% for those who are unable to meet this financial commitment.
Financial Advice
To avoid loans, which are typical for most post-graduate courses, RLS is designed to allow you to work a part-time job and fund yourself through the course. You will need about £650 per month for basic living costs.
| Rent | 350 |

We recommend working about 20 hrs per week but permit up to 25 hrs.
Students Working 25 hrs per week should be looking for about £6.5 / hr to meet their monthly budget.
Because you will be under the income tax threshold of 7420 you will not have to pay income tax, you should inform your employer of this.
We highly recommend five things.
- Learn to stick to the ‘personal budget’ you develop in the ‘management skills’ section of the course.
- Use your faith for finances and a good job, which you should start applying for as soon as possible.
- Try and save before you enter the course.
- Make sure the leadership course and not the job is the focus of your year.
- If finances become a problem talk to the Dean as soon as possible.
