RLS draws from diverse variety of teaching staff with practical leadership experience in the ministry, marketplace, media, education, worship and community. Your main lecturers are:
Michael Meyers – President
Michael is the senior pastor of The River Church with his wife Marion, and president of River Leadership School. He has been a sought after speaker across Europe and the world for the last 20 years as a gifted teacher and revivalist. Michael’s vision is to raise leaders who will be influential inside and outside of the church, effecting the world and building the kingdom of God in places that has not been built before. As an author and writer he is an authority in marketplace ministry, mentoring and local church building.
Marion Meyers
Along with Michael, Marion pastors The River Church, bringing over 25 years wealth of counselling wisdom and expertise. As an author of The ABCs of Emotions and the ABCs of Relationships, she brings her experience as a qualified social worker and skillful teaching of the bible to bring leading insights to the body of Christ in regards to emotional wholeness and wellbeing. She also founded Women In Touch, which runs the annual Touch Conference.
Rob Sharp – Dean of Students
Rob is the Dean of River Leadership School and founder of The Nooma Project. After an encounter with the fire of God at college Rob studied at Rhema Bible Training Centre in Tulsa sensing a call to the ministry. He also attended Exeter University becoming the first person to graduate with a degree in Leadership with Political Philosophy. He helps blend his theological training with an academic understanding of leadership, ensuring our syllabus is both cutting edge and world class.
Diana Bastone – Head Teacher
An accomplished teacher for 20 years, Diana has been a head teacher for over 10 years with a wealth of wisdom and practical experience that helps people learn. Diana is also a gifted bible teacher, with 10 years of bible lecturing experience and is part of the teaching team at The River Church. She is also onboard the Pastoral team at The River where she takes her expertise and draws out practical, real life application.
Scott Gould– Lecturer
A lecturer at RLS, Scott is a “son of the house” who has grown in The River and applied the leadership principles taught at RLS to gain authority as a leader in media through Like Minds, a global thought leadership event. At RLS, Scott oversees the Media Stream which equips students with the working knowledge and the practical skills to lead people through media. As a pastor at The River Church, Scott’s first passion is for the people of God and he brings this mentoring to the RLS students.
Andrew Davies – Lecturer
Andrew is worship pastor at The River Church and oversees the RLS Worship Stream. A song writing and music director, Andrew takes songs of the spirit and delivers them in the vibrant, multicultural sound that is distinct to The River. Andrew is also a successful businessman and co-founder of a thriving next generation technology platform, from which Andrew also imparts his business expertise, undergraduate studying and apprenticeship training into the Marketplace Ministry stream at RLS.
Faye Gould – Lecturer
Faye is a qualified youth and social worker with 8 years experience in working directly with young people. Faye is the events manager for the international Touch Conference, through which Faye and her team have trained numerous churches across Europe to launch successful women’s ministries. She adds her first hand experience of Christians involved in social action, bring God into the community and running excellent events.
